Thank you for joining us for this week’s blog to follow how WipeDiseases Foundation steps into this gap…
WipeDiseases Foundation Provides Real Solutions
First, I created the WipeDiseases™ program to fill this gap of suboptimal care of patients with COPD.
When I discovered the problem was much bigger than COPD, I founded the WipeDiseases Foundation, which develops strategies, education, and tools help healthcare professionals do the right thing of providing optimal care for all of their patients.
It does take more than just educating and providing tools for healthcare professionals in order to facilitate real changes in the outcomes of patients.
Most patients need tools, skills, and confidence to transition from being passive observers (being told what to do) to being active participants in their own healthcare with shared decision making with their healthcare provider.
The WipeDiseases Foundation meets all these needs by providing a special set of skills for both for the patient and the provider.
So, along with providing high-quality continuing education for healthcare professionals — physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists — to view and learn in their own homes or offices, we also provide patients and their caregivers with tools to communicate more effectively with their clinicians.
Join Us on This Journey
The WipeDiseases Foundation covers various diseases, including the most prevalent ones that are often misdiagnosed and suboptimally treated.
We will offer healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers self-paced education and tools to make it easier for everyone to know how to “do the right thing” for better health for all. Who is all? You, your parents, siblings, children, and other family and friends.
This blog will be a journey for all of us. Here, I share stories and lessons that I’ve learned over the years. Hopefully, you will learn and reflect on your own life, too.
I plan to keep your attention and invite your questions and comments. This will help me to blog about what’s important to you.
Thank you for your time. I promise to never waste it on things that do not matter!
